To provide a device for preventing the gelatinization of a polysaccharide polymer electrolyte inside a pump for feeding a base material paste even when a device for kneading the base material paste containing the polysaccharide polymer electrolyte with a hardening material paste is not used for a comparatively long period.
The paste kneading device includes: a means for kneading the base material paste containing the polysaccharide polymer electrolyte and water as main components with the hardening material paste containing a gelatinization reagent as a main component; a pump for feeding the base material paste to the kneading means; and a pump for feeing the hardening material paste to the kneading means. At least the base material paste feeding pump includes: a housing 11; and at least one rotator 13 rotatably stored in the housing. In the paste kneading device, the housing is formed of stainless steel, and the rotator is composed of a nonmetallic compound or metal with a nonmetalized surface.
