To obtain a paste or mortar for placing joint capable of early developing adhesive strength above a fixed level and preferably used for interposing between an existing cured body (especially a pavement on a jamming traffic road) and a water permeable concrete to be placed thereupon.
The paste or mortar for placing joint of water permeable concrete comprises 100 pts.wt. of a hydraulic material, 0 to 300 pts.wt. of fine aggregate, 0.1 to 20 pts.wt. of a water reducing agent and 15 to 30 pts.wt. of water. The hydraulic material is a quick hardening cement comprising 20 to 60 wt.% of a clinker consisting mainly of calcium sulfoaluminate, 20 to 70 wt.% of a Portland cement clinker, 0.5 to 30 wt.% of anhydrous gypsum, 0.1 to 3.0 wt.% of an alkali metal carbonate and 0.05 to 4.0 wt.% of an organic acid, wherein molar ratio of SO3/Al2O3 is 1.0 to 1.4.
