To provide an energy and water saving pasteurizing cooling apparatus capable of maintaining a stable temperature distribution pattern even in case of a happening of interruption in transportation works during an operation.
This pasteurizing cooling apparatus is a tunnel type freezer 10 which brings in high-temperature works such as bottles, cans, etc., charged with high-temperature sterilized products by a conveyor 50a and gradually cools the works from a high temperature of approximately 75°C to a low temperature of about 25°C and has a constitution in which plural cooling tanks 11a, 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 13a and 13b are lined from an upstream side to a downstream side, a first cooling zone 11, a middle cooling zone 12 and a final cooling zone 13 are arranged, an adsorption freezer 19 is installed between the first cooling zone 11 and the final cooling zone 13 and a cooling tower is laid at the middle cooling zone 12.
