To provide a patent evaluating method and a system, which realize the alleviation of patent document evaluating operation and make it easy to prepare a highly usable patent map.
A master work station classifies patent documents into a plurality of groups in accordance with a classification standard, and sends a distribution processing request notifying mail to a representative work station 5. The representative work station 5 which received the distributing processing request notifying mail can display the details of the patent documents classified into groups with reference to a patent information searching system, accepts the classification input of the patent documents, distributes the patent documents to detailed groups, and notifies to a work station in charge 7 for each of the detailed groups that the patent documents to be evaluated are present. The work station in charge 7 inputs more detailed classification and evaluation for each of the patent documents.
