Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a pass box provided with the function of a fire door adapted for the Building Standards Act in the structure by constituting the glass of the pass box with a laminated glass plate containing a foaming layer of sodium silicate and constituting the supporting part of the glass by a heat-insulating member.
CONSTITUTION: A laminated glass plate 4 containing a foaming layer of sodium silicate is arranged in a steel fireproof glass frame at both front and rear faces of a pass box. And a steel support frame 9 charged with sodium calcium plates 10 is superposed on a support structural member 6 and ceramic wool 11 is charged in the space between the steel support frame 9 and a setting block 7 and also between the a gasket rubber 8 and the support structural member 6 to form the support of the laminated glass plate 4 as a double heat-insulation structure. At a fire, the foaming layer of sodium silicate in the inside of the laminated glass plate 4 effervesces to intercept the radiant heat and bring out the smoke and flame interruption performances The supporting part of laminated glass plate 4 brings out the heat interruption performance. In this way, a pass box can be used at the opening of a fire compartment.
