Patent Searching and Data

Title:
PATH SEARCH METHOD AND RECEIVER IN DIRECT SEQUENCE SPREAD SPECTRUM COMMUNICATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3688625
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable receiving operation with respect to variations of a muliplexed transmission line, without markedly impairing responsive performance in a path search method, in direct sequence spread spectrum communication.
SOLUTION: A correlation power value between a received direct spread spectrum signal, and a spread code is determined for each delay time, to generate an instant delay profile of the present time (tn). Each correlation power value of the instant delay profile of the present time, which is generated in this step, is multiplied by a coefficient α (0<α<1), each correlation power value of an accumulative delay profile which is all past history (t1 to tn -1) stored in a memory is multiplied by a coefficient (1-α), and the results of multiplication are added for each delay time, thereby generating a new accumulative delay profile. The newly generated profile is stored in the memory instead of the profile which is all the past history, thereby updating the profile. A plurality of paths to be RAKE-synthesized are determined on the basis of the new profile and are allocated to each of RAKE fingers.
