To enable information on hospitalization guidance to be appropriately displayed for a patient who has just been hospitalized, without using a paper medium.
A display 5 for displaying inpatient information is installed at a bedside, and a sensor 10 for detecting a person on the bed is installed. When inpatient information for a newly hospitalized patient is input, the inpatient information is displayed in the display 5, and when a detection signal from the sensor 10 is input after the inpatient information for a newly hospitalized patient is input, information on hospitalization guidance is displayed in the display 5 for a predetermined time. Thus, it is not necessary for the patient to perform an operation to display the information on hospitalization guidance, and a paper medium on which the information on hospitalization guidance is printed becomes unnecessary. Also, when the inpatient gets on the bed from the second time, the information on hospitalization guidance is not displayed in the display 5, thereby enabling the information on hospitalization guidance to be displayed appropriately for the patient who has just been hospitalized.
