To provide a patient positioning plate that ensures stable and comfortable positioning of a patient while hardly disturbing radiography of the patient lying on the positioning plate.

The plate includes an outer shell surrounding a hollow part filled with a filler material. The shell comprises a tab-like upper portion 36 and a tab-like lower portion 38. The upper and lower portions 36 and 38 respectively have tab floor faces 40 and 42 forming the upper and lower sides of the plate, while the tab floor faces 40 and 42 respectively form tab edges 44 and 46 with an internal angle greater than 90 degrees. The tab floor faces 40 and 42 of the two portions 36 and 38 are both made flat. The upper and lower portions 36 and 38 are fitted with each other such that the tab floor faces 40 and 42 surround the hollow part of the shell.
