Title:
PATTERN ENGRAVING METHOD ON WOODEN PLATE OR OTHER PLATE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57127672
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain engraved patterns on the surface of glass plate or metal plate, etc., by using a thin sheet pattern with adhesive, an adhesive sheet, for instance.

CONSTITUTION: Engraved patterns are produced on wooden plate or other plate materials by the following method. Cutting 3 of patterns are made by applying blanking dies on the surface of a synthetic resin sheet 1 having release paper 2 pasted on its adhesive-applied side. This surface is, then, covered with a sheet of paper 4 painted with adhesive, so that the cuttings of patterns stick to the paper 4, leaving other portion on the paper 2. Next, the sheet 1 is placed on a straight-grained cedar plate with adhesive-applied back surface of the sheet stuck to the plate surface. After the patterned portion well stuck to the surface of the straight-grained plate, the paper 4 is peeled off. By blasting abrasive mainly focused to the exposed wood, that is, the area not covered by the patterned sheet 1, engraved patterns are obtained.
