PURPOSE: To control the reduction logic for the optical character reader unit by examining the reduction result of the adjacent reduction unit which has compelted the reduction. As a result, the minute line formation can be carried out simultaneously with the pattern reduction, thus enhancing the performance of the pattern reduction.
