PURPOSE: To obtain patterned wall material, the pattern of which has depth and cubic effect, by a method wherein resin, which is placed at one end of the surface produced by applying colored resin onto base material and drying, is pressed and stretched by patterning face, which is prepared by patterning with ink on base film, so as to transfer the ink to the resin and to dry and, after the base film is peeled off, surfacing resin is applied to the resin, to which pattern is transferred, and then dried.

CONSTITUTION: Colored resin layer 2 is formed on the surface of base material 1. By pressing transfer film 6 with a roller 7 starting from one end of the surface of the colored resin layer 2 under the condition that the end of the patterning face of the transfer film 6, which is produced by printing pattern 4 with ink on one side of base film 5, is pressed against transparent or translucent resin 3, the resin 3 is evenly stretched. After the resin 3 is semi-hardened, the base film 5 is peeled off so as to transfer the pattern 4 onto the resin layer 3. By pressing film 9 with a roller 10 starting from one end of the surface of resin 8 under the condition that the end of the film 9 is pressed against the surfacing resin 8 placed on the surface of the resin layer 3, the surfacing resin 8 is evenly stretched. By peeling off the film 9 after the hardening of the surfacing resin 8, the patterned wall material concerned is obtained.
