To provide a metal bonded polishing tool and its manufacturing method.
In this method, a perforated template is used to arrange a sharpening pellet section in a pattern located on a cutting surface of the tool, place the template against a tool preliminary molded form so that the holes define hollows, and fill up the hollows with a paste-formed metal brazing composition. Then the template is removed to leave the sharpening pellet section separated from a brazed paste attached to the cutting surface. Further in the method, abrasive grains are placed on the paste particles and properly-fixed by calcinating the preliminary molded form under brazing conditions. Therefore abrasive grains can accurately be allocated to be spaced on the cutting surface by channels without abrasives specified in a screen section of the template. These channels without abrasives provide a pathway for smoothly opening up the flow of both coolant material and shaving particles in cutting area.
