PURPOSE: To obtain a water-permeable paving material exhibiting excellent optical characteristic, strength characteristic, etc., as the road paving stone, etc.

CONSTITUTION: This water-permeable paving material consists essentially of an inorg. aggreagte grain and an org.-resin binder, and 0.05-6.0wt.% mica is incorporated into the material. The grain diameter of the mica is preferably controlled to 10-650μm and the thickness to 10-3000, and scaly mica is preferable. Further, the mica can be coated with titanium oxide and/or iron oxide, and, in this case, the coverage of the titanium oxide-coated mica is controlled to 10-70% and that of the iron oxide-coated mica to 4-60%. Besides, the mica coated with titanium oxide can be further coated with 4-60% iron oxide.
