Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paving structure that is excellent as a landscaping pavement having sufficient strength and durability.
SOLUTION: A filler 2 formed by mixing a sticking agent with a soil base paving material is filled into voids among crushed stones 1 in an open grain size asphalt mixture having a large porosity, and is solidified. The crushed stones 1 which the open grain size asphalt mixture contains are composed chiefly of 5-grade crushed stones. The soil base paving material should be a decomposed granite, Kanto loam, or sandy soil. The sticking agent should be a denatured acrylic emulsion or an emulsion. An amount of the sticking agent is 0.5 to 20 wt.% of the soil base paving material, preferably 1 to 15 wt.%. The paving structure obtained resists cracking and also resists surface roughening that may be caused by rainwater.
