PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a payment notification device that computerizes payment notification of charge.SOLUTION: A payment notification system performs payment notification to a user regarding payment of charge on a regular basis such as public utility charge. The payment notification system includes a management server, a request source server, a user terminal and so on. The management server generates an electronic payment notification slip including a payment bar code that is displayed by a user terminal and read at the time of payment of charge and transmits a notification mail to notify a user that payment of charge is required. Then, the management server performs display confirmation whether the notification mail is opened on the user terminal or not when prescribed date and time comes. When the notification mail is not opened on the user terminal, the management server switches operation to transmit a paper payment notification slip.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
