Title:
PB-SN HOT DIPPED STEEL PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61204362
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a Pb-Sn hot dipped steel plate for which inexpensive Mn is used and which is highly resistant to corrosion by forming an Mn plating layer on the surface of the steel plate and forming a molten Pb-Sn layer and if necessary, a molten Pb-Sn layer contg. Ti thereon.

CONSTITUTION: The degreased and pickled steel plate is subjected to a cathodic electrolytic treatment in an aq. soln. coantg., preferably 200 g/l MnSo4 and 50 g/l NH4)2 SO4 and is subjected to Mn plating at 0.5W5 g/m2 deposition on one side. The steel plate subjected to the Mn pretreatment plating on the surface is conducted to a Pb-Sn hot dipping bath cell where the steel late is subjected to dip plating. The Mn acts and the dense and fine alloy layer is formed as the substratum layer for the Pb-Sn plating layer in the stage when the FeSn2 alloy layer is formed by the reaction of the Sn contained in the molten Pb bath with the surface layer of the steel plate. The content of Sn in the molten Pb-Sn is usually 3W15%. The content of Ti in the molten Pb-Sn is preferably 0.4W4.0% when Ti is added to the bath.
