Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PdRu alloy electrode material having high water electrolysis activity and durability capable of maintaining the water electrolysis activity for a long term.SOLUTION: A PdRu alloy electrode material (PdRu/C) is obtained through a heat holding process P5 for holding a solution, containing a reductant, conductive carrier particles, a palladium compound or palladium ions, and ruthenium compound or ruthenium ions, at a predetermined temperature or more. Since the mole ratio x of this PdRu alloy electrode material is in a range of 0.85≤x≤0.95, high water electrolysis activity and durability are obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
