Abstract:
To provide aptamers having improved stability against nucleases that bind PDGF, and aptamers that bind VEGF.SOLUTION: The invention relates to nucleic acid molecules, such as aptamers, including specific nucleotide sequences and including a C-5 modified pyrimidine and a phosphorothioate linkage or moiety. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition to be administered to a subject with an ophthalmic disease, the composition comprising two nucleic acid molecules selected from the group consisting of the nucleic acid molecules, e.g., such that they are linked covalently or non-covalently.SELECTED DRAWING: None
