Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow pedal arm that improves the shape retention during bending and the strength of the pedal arm by forming of a swollen part, and suppresses occurrence of an abnormal noise.SOLUTION: In the pedal arm, an arm body as a hollow member made of a sheet metal is formed by providing, in a bending range, a pair of swollen parts 13 and 14 projecting in a counter relationship from left and right side surfaces 111 and 112. The pair of swollen parts 13 and 14 are fitted to each other by bending, and are faced to each other with a clearance by which they are separated from each other by a spring back of the side surfaces 111 and 112 surrounding one or both swollen parts 13 and 14 after the completion of the bending.
