PURPOSE: To facilitate the application of upward force by up rightly providing a support part to receive a crank arm at one end of a footplate, installing a foot stop on the support part having an interval to the footplate and setting the interval between the footplate and the foot stop adjustable.

CONSTITUTION: A support part 3 to support a bearing 4 to be connected to a crankshaft of a bicycle is provided to stand upward from one end of a footplate 2 of a pedal. A hub 6 including a spring 12 and a shaft 8 is provided at an upper end 5 of the support part 3, and a foot stop 17 eccentric to the shaft 8 is supported by the shaft 8. In this constitution, in usage, a part 11 of the shaft 8 is moved in the axial direction against the spring 12, and the engagement of a spherical protrusion 16 with a recess 15 is released, so that shaft 8 is rotated to rotate the eccentric foot stop 17. An interval between the footplate 2 and the foot stop 17 can thus be adjusted to match a foot. In this constitution, upward force can be provided.
