Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control displacement of a stepping face of a pedal for a vehicle when external force more than the predetermined value is applied from the front side of a vehicle.
SOLUTION: A link support 24 supporting an oscillation center shaft 38 of an oscillation link 36 is connected separably to a pedal support 44 supporting a rotation center shaft 56 of a brake pedal 10. The oscillation link 36 and the brake pedal 10 are connected together by means of a connecting link 60, and the first connecting center shaft 62 is positioned on the vehicle front side as against a line P connecting the rotation center shaft 56 and the oscillation center shaft 38 together. Therefore, the link support 24 is separated, while rotating, from the pedal support 44 if an external force more than the predetermined value is applied from the front side of the vehicle, so that a distance A between the rotation center shaft 56 and the oscillation center shaft 38 is increased. According to the increase of the distance A, the first connecting center shaft 62 is pulled onto the line P side, so that a pedal pad 26 can be shifted to the vehicle front side substantially.
