Title:
PEDAL SUPPORTING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3239840
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the displacement of the tread of a pedal for vehicle when an external force more than a specified value is operated at the front side of a vehicle.
SOLUTION: A pedal bracket 18 is fixed to a dash panel 16 by a fixing bolt 24 through an arm 18B, at the position offset as a distance W to the pedal pad 10C of a parking brake pedal 10 (the first fixing point). Further, the pedal bracket 18 is fixed to a cowl side bracket and a center floor tunnel by fixing bolts 34 and 38, by the front ends of a cowl side installing part 18C and a floor side installing part 18D respectively (the second fixing point). As a result, a shaft is formed on the line connecting the second fixing points each other, and the first fixing point and the pedal pad 10C are positioned at the same side to the axial line P of the shaft. Consequently, when an external force is operated and the dash panel 16 is displaced to the rear side, the pedal bracket 18 is rotating displaced around the axial line P, and the foot part space of the passenger is secured.
