To provide a pedestrian collision risk determining device for a vehicle capable of securing collision protection property even if a pedestrian abruptly changes his/her moving state while restraining a heightened level of a device.
When collision risk of the vehicle 1 and a pedestrian 2 is judged from a relative positional relationship between a position P1 of the pedestrian and the vehicle position detected, received or computed, and the vehicle speed, a pedestrian abrupt moving zone 4 determined on the basis of a maximum moving speed that is a predetermined value as a maximum value of the abrupt change in moving state of the pedestrian 2 is set on both sides of a vehicle width zone 3 set by predicted trajectories 30, 31 on a side face of the vehicle 1 (also called as a vehicle side extension). When the pedestrian is positioned in the collision risk zone of the vehicle width zone 3 and the pedestrian abrupt moving zone 4, the pedestrian 2 is judged as the pedestrian having the collision risk.
