Abstract:
To provide a pedestrian terminal device, an on-vehicle terminal device, a communication system between a pedestrian and a vehicle, and a boarding support system capable of reducing the frequency of sending messages related to boarding support.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle terminal 3 of a bus sends a message notifying the presence of the bus; a pedestrian terminal 1 of a user sends a message notifying a boarding request upon receipt of the message notifying the presence of the bus; and the on-vehicle terminal determines whether or not the user can get on the bus upon receipt of the message notifying the boarding request, and sends a message notifying the availability of the boarding, which is the determination result. When receiving the message notifying the presence of the bus, the pedestrian terminal determines whether or not a predetermined boarding request notification condition is satisfied on the basis of the time when the user arrives at a stop and the time when the bus arrives at the stop, and does not send the message notifying the boarding request when the boarding request notification condition is not satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
