To provide a function capable of transmitting data of a pedometer to an external system such as a leader's system and facilitating reception of an advice of the expert leader.

A pace sensor 11, a pace counter 12, a display driver 13 for a display part 1, an oscillator 14, a driver 15 for the oscillator 14, a radio transmission-reception unit 16 connected to a transmission antenna A, an interface unit 17 for transmission and reception of data, an ID tag 18 wherein discriminative information is written and a microcomputer 20 are provided inside a case body of a pedometer 10. When a person having the pedometer 10 on the body walks, the pace sensor 11 outputs a pace signal on the basis of the vibration of the pedometer. The pace counter 12 subjects the pace signal to pre-processing such as wave shaping and filtering, converts it into a pulse waveform and then integrates it by a counter circuit. The count of paces in this pace counter 12 is started afresh with a count value returned to zero, when a reset command comes from the microcomputer 20.
