To provide a pedometer, a mobile terminal incorporating the same and a control method of the same, allowing to achieve more accurate number of steps of a user.

The pedometer calculates a step number change ΔN representing the number of the steps of each prescribed time from an acceleration A (S100), and calculates a position change ΔP of each prescribed time from position information P (S110). The pedometer decides whether or not the user is in the middle of walking based on the position change ΔP of each prescribed time (S120), integrates the step number change ΔN when deciding that the user is in the middle of the walking to calculate the number N of the steps (S130), and sets the step number change ΔN and the position change ΔP to be 0 (S140). When deciding that the user is not in the middle of the walking, the pedometer eliminates processing of integrating the step number change ΔN to calculate the number N of the steps.
