To provide a technology related to a pedometer of which walking-related information such as calorie consumption has practical correctness.

A pedometer includes: a walking speed calculation part 5 for calculating a walking speed on the basis of a walking pitch and a set body height of a pedometer user, using steps measured in a unit time as the walking pitch; and an exercise intensity calculation part 6 for calculating exercise intensity from the walking speed. The former obtains the walking speed by multiplying a result, which is obtained by adapting the walking pitch to a regression equation in which a step corresponding to pitch change during walking is fixed and reflected to general walking characteristic, by the set body height. The latter decides the maximum value of the results obtained by adapting the walking speed to one or plural regression equations as exercise intensity, in relationship between the walking speed and the exercise intensity. Walking-related information such as calorie consumption other than the two values of the walking speed and the exercise intensity can be obtained by a well-known computation expression with the same correctness as that of the two values from the two values and a set body weight of the pedometer used.
