To provide a peel ply that allows smooth release process in the FRP molding as well as a method for easily obtaining such a peel ply.

A peel ply comprises a resin layer on at least one side of a substrate. The resin layer includes an acid-modified polyolefin resin including 1 to 10 mass% of an acid component; and 1 to 50 pts.mass of a crosslinking agent per 100 pts.mass of the acid-modified polyolefin resin. The peel ply of the present invention can be obtained by coating the substrate with liquid including 100 pts.mass of the acid-modified polyolefin resin including 0.01 to 10 mass% of the acid component, 1 to 50 pts.mass of the crosslinking agent, and an aqueous medium, and subsequently drying the substrate.
