Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a highly safe device to simplify the structure and the use and to facilitate to peel off fruit skin, by equipping a casing comprising a member to hold a fruit, a member to rotate the fruit, and a member to tilt the axis of the fruit, and a rotary cutter to spirally move on the surface of the fruit. CONSTITUTION: A detachable member 2 of an outer casing 1 has a drawer 3 which slides along a groove in the machine so as to collect cut skin. Since an orange is laid between end parts of arms 5, 6, traction of a shaft 7 of the arm 6 and a sharp gripper guide 8 of the arm 5 forms a rotation point of a fruit. The arms 5, 6 are fixed on support members 9, 10. The support members 9, 10 can rotate around the horizontal axis to give an angle change to the fruit axes 7, 8 up to 180 deg.. A cutter 11 is in a head cut cone shape and have a separation ring 12 on the rear part to prevent the cutter from touching the arm 5 when the fruit is held by an arm. A wheel 13 adjust the cutting depth through a connection with an eccentric cam 14 which separate the fruit from the cutter by a desired distance to adjust the thickness of peeled skin.
