PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum peep window for an ion-exchange resin column or the like while it is such a peep window that a half-divided like granular filler does not stick thereto. SOLUTION: The peep hole is equipped with the same constitution as that of a traditional peep window excepting a constitution of a transparent plate 50. The transparent plate is made of an inorganic or organic glass plate, and a plate face 52 of the transparent plate 52 facing an inside of an ion-exchange resin column comprises a frosted glass-like irregular face. For the transparent plate, when a half divided ion-exchange resin sticks to the plate surface on a plane side, a clearance exists between the irregularity provided in the plate face and the half divided ion-exchange resin, a surface tension acting between the half divided ion-exchange resin and the plate face is consequently decreased, and the half divided ion-exchange resin becomes difficult to stick to the plate face. The half divided ion-exchange resin sticking to the plate face is swepted away by water to be treated flowing down in an ion-exchange resin layer, and easily disconnected from the plate face. The plate face of the transparent plate is always maintained in an excellent seeing through state wherein the half divided ion-exchange resin does not stick.
