Title:
PELLET CONTAINING STARCH AND PROTEIN, TREATMENT THEREFOR AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018066013
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pellet containing starch and protein having preferable flow characteristic, resistance to severe transportation condition, capable of easily being pulverized, not decomposed before and after a pelletizing treatment, capable of being stored for a long time and having a powder at a pellet shape, and a method for manufacturing the pellet.SOLUTION: There is provided a pellet containing starch, protein of 5 to less than 75 wt./wt.% based on dry weight of the pellet (w/w%, db) and having moisture content of 20 wt./wt.% (w/w%) or less. There is provided a method for manufacturing the pellet including a process for pre-conditioning a powder product by providing heated air and/or steam so that a temperature of the product reaches a value of 10 to 95°C and/or moisture content of the product increases by 1 to 5 w/w%, a process for passing the pre-conditioned product through a die hole for obtaining the pellet and a process for air cooling the pellet.SELECTED DRAWING: None
