Abstract:
To decrease resistance of water, to prevent cavitation from occurring and to decrease rotational power of a knife.
In a pelletizer wherein a cutting edge 10b of the front edge side in the rotational direction of a highly rotating knife 10 is faced by bringing it into contact with the front face 5a of a die plate 5 or by providing a definite gap and a molten resin extruded into water from a fine hole 4 of a die plate 5 is cut by means of the knife 10 to form pellets P, at least the face of the die plate 5 side of the tail part 10C of the knife 10 is made into a streamlined curved face for preventing turbulent flow of water from being generated.
