To provide a pen holder improved in the durability by preventing a force applied to a front upper edge (upper edge part) of a resin sheet from focusing on the upper edge of a heat-welded part when attaching and detaching a pen, and making the pen holder hardly peel off and hardly cut from the welded part with the resin sheet, and capable of not interfering with carrying by putting a pen into the inside of a front cover when holding no pen in the pen holder, and a front cover provided with the pen holder.

A band-shaped resin sheet 16 is heat-welded on an opening and closing side edge part of a front cover 12 from the inside of the front cover 12 by folding on a folding line part in parallel to the opening and closing side edge part, and superposing both the end edges on each other. It is made possible to insert a pen 32 from above into between the front side and the reverse side of the folded band-shaped resin sheet 16, and a notch part 20 opening upward and separating from the folded line part and a heat-welded part 30 is provided on the front upper edge of the band-shaped resin sheet 16.
