Title:
PENDANT LUMINAIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH117814
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a thin luminaire in which the shadow by the lower end part of a shade is hardly projected to an interior wall surface although slender annular fluorescent lamps with tube diameters of 13-18 mm are supported in layers, so that a lighting pattern preferable in visual environment can be provided.

At least a pair of high frequency exclusive annular fluorescent lamps 20-21 having tube diameters of 13-18 mm and mutually different outer diameters are supported by an equipment body 1 in the state where they are substantially concentrically superposed, and a shade 3 for covering the annular fluorescent lamps 2a-2b from above has a transmissivity regulating part 3c having a transmissivity larger than the transmissivity of the upper part 30, which is formed on the lower end part 3b. Even if the luminance of the annular fluorescent lamps 2a-2b opposed to the lower end part 3b is remarkably high, the ring shadow formed in the projection of the shadow of the lower end part 3b of the shade 3 to a wall surface is inconspicuous since the lower end part 3b of the shade 3 has the large transmissivity by the transmissivity regulating part 3c.
