PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts for supporting a pendulum beam, arranged on a bogie, and attain compactness, in a pendulum device for a railway vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: A roller 11, which supports the bottom surface of an upper bolster 3 swivelably in a transverse direction, is rotatably mounted to longitudinal positions corresponding to the upper bolster 3 of a pendulum beam 2 in both sides of a bogie 1, and a flange 16 for receiving a longitudinal direction of the upper bolster 3 is peripherally provided in an end part peripheral surface of this roller 11. In each roller 11, a vertical load is supported by a barrel part 15, and since a load in a longitudinal direction is supported by the flange 16, the pendulum beam 2 can be supported by four in total of the rollers 11, so that weight lightness and compactness can be attained by reducing the number of part items.
