The pendulum 1 comprises a plate-shaped pendulum lever 11, fastened to a rocking shaft 12 driven by a known metronome mechanism (not shown) and a fixed weight 13 comprising a cylindrical weight 13a and a weight 13b fastened to the lower end part of the pendulum lever 11. The lower end part of the pendulum lever 11 is sandwiched and fixed by the weight 13a and has the weight 13b of the same mass. Therefore, since the weights 13a and 13b of the same mass are provided for both surfaces of the pendulum lever 11, it is possible to locate the overall center of gravity of the pendulum 1 as being the center of the pendulum lever 11, and to improve the overall balance of the mass of the pendulum 1.
