Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a penetration agent for an elastomer-compatible reinforcement substrate which contains a specific linear aliph. monoglycide ether and does not require a volatile org. solvent or aq. medium which is an environmental pollutant.
CONSTITUTION: This penetrating agent contains (A) a 10C or higher (pref. a 12-15C) linear aliph. monoglycide ether and pref. (B) an additive comprising (i) an elastic polymer and/or (ii) a crosslinking monomer pref. comprising a (non)blocked isocyanate compd. and/or a polyepoxy compd. Examples of a pref. reinforcement substrate are polyester films, polyester fibers, aramid fibers, and cords and cord fabrics produced from these fibers.
