PURPOSE: To prevent the breakage of the joint of steel plate cell and also the buckling of arc plate by a method in which a guide part to be attached along the periphery of an arc plate is inserted into the jointed portion of a steel plate cell, and then the arc plate is fitted into the inside of the guide parts.
CONSTITUTION: A joint portion consisting of angle parts 12 is projected from the periphery of a steel plate cell of a cylindrical closed cross section form. Each of the steel plate cells is penetrated into the seabed ground and intermediate filling work is done. Then, both ends 15b of a guide part 15 are inserted into between the angle parts 12 from their upper ends and the guide part 15 is allowed to settle to the seabed by its own weight, and an arc plate 13 is inserted so that its body and both end porjections 14 are fitted into between the body 15a and both ends 15b of the part 15. Afterwards, the guide part 15 is pulled out. And the space between both steel plate cells 11 is closed by the arc plate 13, and intermediate filling is made in its space.
