NEW MATERIAL:Pentaerythritol sulfuric ester polyaluminum hydroxide complex or dipentaerythritol sulfuric ester polyaluminum hydroxide complex.
USE: An antiulcer. Having improved stability.
PREPARATION: For example, dipentaerythritol is reacted with sulfuric anhydride- pyridine complex in a dried pyridine solvent at 80W90°C with stirring. An oily substance which is precipitated after cooling is dissolved in distilled water, neutralized with 10wt% NaOH solution under cooling with ice, adjusted to a proper pH, and concentrated. Ethanol is added to the solution, to give precipitate of sodium dipentaerythritol sulfate. Then, 1mol of this compound is reacted with 3W3.5mol basic polyaluminum chloride complex (polymer having 0.67W0.83 basicity obtained by reacting metal Al with AlCl3 in an aqueous solution) in distilled water with stirring.
