Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely perform binding process at a wanted position regardless of thickness of a paper bundle that is accumulated.SOLUTION: A saddle stitching process device 300 includes an accumulation part 340 for accumulating paper, a stapling part 350 provided above the accumulation part 340, and needle receiving means which is provided at a position facing the stapling part 350 across a paper bundle accumulated in the accumulation part 340. The stapling part 350 includes a driving part which rotates relative to the paper bundle to drive a binding needle. The driving part includes moving means (a drive mechanism 352 and a saddle stitching process control part 505) for moving the driving part according to thickness of the paper bundle so that it faces a predetermined position of a top paper in the paper bundle.
