Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a monoclonal antibody which contains a specifically bound cell, surface receptor and ligand, is expressed by a receptor-ligand complex, and immunologically reacts with a ligand induction-binding site since antigen-determining groups have been found which are expressed when a cell surface receptor specifically binds to a ligand but are not expressed by a non-occupying receptor or non-binding region ligand.
SOLUTION: A DNA and recombinant DNA molecule containing a DNA sequence encoding a part of a structural gene of GPIIb heavy chain (H chain) (hGPIIb) forming an antigen-determining group when platelet-related GPIIb-IIIa binds to fibrinogen, a polypeptide analogue which is potential antigen- determining group of hGPIIb, and an antibody which immunologically reacts with the polypeptide are provided.
