Abstract:

To provide an antibody directed towards an oxidized fragment of apolipoprotein B or an antibody fragment thereof, usable for therapeutical or prophylactic treatment of atherosclerosis by means of passive immunization.

There is provided the antibody directed towards the oxidized fragment of apolipoprotein B, wherein the oxidized fragment is IEIGLEGKGFEPTLEALFGK and the antibody or the antibody fragment includes a variable heavy chain region (VH) of a specific sequence and a variable light chain region (VL) of a specific sequence.
