Abstract:
To provide a novel protease resistant polypeptide, a pharmaceutical composition comprising the polypeptide, and a therapeutic, ameliorating, or prophylactic method for treating, ameliorating or preventing conditions related to joint damage, including acute joint injury and arthritis.SOLUTION: An isolated polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence having at least 95% amino acid sequence identity with a particular amino acid sequence. The polypeptide comprises an amino acid in which a particular site of the amino acid sequence is a polar amino acid other than K or R.
