Abstract:
To highly accurately evaluate the performance of an elastic material.SOLUTION: A method for evaluating the performance of an elastic material including rubber or elastomer is provided. This method includes: a step S2 of straining a test piece composed of an elastic material thereby forming a low-density region inside the test piece; a step S3 of imaging the low-density region inside the test piece; and a step S4 of evaluating the performance of the elastic material on the basis of a low-density distribution width that is the range of low-density region magnitude distribution of the imaged data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
