Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system with which not only the occurrence of performance degradation can be detected but also a performance degradation zone can be specified.
SOLUTION: A forward monitoring(FM) operation administration and management (OAM) cell detection part 31 at a virtual path connection(VPC)/virtual channel connection(VCC) intermediate point 1 executes the performance measurement of forward flow between a terminal point A and the intermediate point 1 and this performance measured result is sent out to backward flow as an M backward reporting(BR) OAM cell so as to be reported to the terminal point A. In this case, the MBROAM cell means a monitor (M) BR OAM cell sent out of the intermediate point. An MBROAM cell detection part 51 and a BROAM cell detection part 12 at the terminal point A respectively detect an MBROAM cell 121 form a termination point B and a BROAM dell 111 from the intermediate point 1, and a performance degradation zone specification part 52 compares both the cells. By successively executing this operation concerning respective intermediate points from 1 to (n), the performance degradation zone generating performance degradation between the termination points A and B can be specified.
