Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a perfume composed of a specified compound, having a fruit-like fragrance bringing a refreshing greenish feeling and capable of being blended with a perfume composition so as to effectively show the greenish feeling of the perfume itself and improve diffusibility of the whole body.
CONSTITUTION: This perfume is composed of an alkyl 2-acetyl-2-alkenate (e.g. ethyl 2-acetyl-2-butenoate) of formula I (R1 is a 1 to 10C alkyl; R2 is a 1 to 4C alkyl). The compound of formula I can be synthesized, e.g. by reacting a compound of formula II with an aldehyde of the formula R1CHO in the presence of a base such as pyridine. In addition, in the case the compound of formula I is blended with a perfume composition, the content is preferably 3 to 5wt.%.
