Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure a parameter expressing the degree of the activity of perfusion by destroying bubbles with the measurement of signal intensity in a state where the bubbles exist and then measuring the signal intensity of ultrasonic echo from a measuring point, thereby obtaining the shortest time satisfying a specific inequality.
SOLUTION: A PD mode processing part 5 generating picture data based on the power of the doppler component of ultrasonic echo is provided and a central processing part 6 generates a display picture according to obtained picture data. At this time, the signal intensity gk of ultrasonic echo is measured in a state where the bubbles as a contrast medium sufficiently exists at a measuring point in an examinee body and bubbles is destroyed by ultrasonic beam transmitted for measuring. Next, the signal intensity gk+ of ultrasonic echo from the measuring point is measured again after the lapse of a time Tk to obtain a shortest time Tkmin meeting the equality of gk+>w.gk when a comparing coefficient (w) is made 0<w<1. Then, the parameter expressing the degree of the activity of perfusion is decided based on the shortest time.
