To provide a periodic pulse generation circuit capable of inexpensively achieving a high-frequency periodic pulse signal with a narrow circuit area.
The periodic pulse generation circuit is provided with inverter circuits 101-103 for generating n-phase (n is an integer of ≥3) periodic signals, n sets of negative AND circuits 104-106 for extracting a phase-shift difference between respective phases of the periodic signals from the inverter circuits 101-103, and a negative OR circuit 107 for taking the OR of output signals of the negative AND circuits 104-106. Namely, it is possible to generate the high-frequency periodic pulse signal up to the element performance limit in order to generate a higher-frequency periodic pulse signal on the basis of an oscillation frequency of an oscillation circuit, by constituting the periodic pulse generation circuit after adding a small number of AND circuits to the oscillation circuit generating the n-phase periodic signals.
