Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery monitoring system capable of early detecting a person in the periphery of a shovel.SOLUTION: A periphery monitoring system 100 for detecting a person existing in the periphery of a shovel by using a pickup image of an imaging device 40 attached to the shovel comprises: an extraction part 31 for extracting an identification processing object image; and an identification part 32 for identifying whether or not an image included in the identification processing object image extracted by the extraction part 31 is an image of a person by image recognition processing. The pickup image is divided into a plurality of regions. The extraction part 31 extracts an image portion including a characteristic image representing a characteristic portion of the person among a plurality of image portions in each region selected in a predetermined order from the plurality of regions as the identification processing object image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
