Title:
PERIPHERAL TYPE PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002081392
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a peripheral type pump in which it is no fear that much heat is generated even at a small size and a cavitation is generated and which is preferable as an auxiliary thermal source of a heating for vehicle.

Blades 14 are radially formed not only on a side surface of an impeller 1 but also a ring-like temperature-raising flow passage 5 provided on a rear housing 3. The blades 14 of the temperature-raising flow passage 5 are cooperated with a blade of the impeller 1 rotated to shear or rub a fluid, thereby, a heat is generated. A ring-like pressure-raising flow passage 4 having no blade is formed on a front housing 2 and a part of the pressurized fluid flows into the temperature-raising flow passage 5 through a high pressure part 13. Accordingly, it can be inhibited that the fluid generates a cavitation in the temperature-raising flow passage 5. The temperature-raised fluid is returned to a low pressure part of the pressure-raising flow passage 4 from a gap at a surrounding of the impeller 1. The pressure-raising flow passage 4 and the temperature-raising flow passage 5 can be arranged on the same one surface of the impeller 1 so as to share one ring.
